Thursday on Huntsville WVNN's "The Dale Jackson Show," U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover) took Vice President Kamala Harris to task for flip-flopping on her liberal positions now that she's the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee.
Harris has supported Medicare for All and banning fracking, but her aides say she now is against such proposals. She also recently pledged to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on the wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, something she called "un-American" when Donald Trump was President of the United States.
Palmer told host Dale Jackson that "only the dumbest people" or Harris' biggest supporters would believe she has been "truthful" about her positions. He added that Harris was truly a "Marxist" no matter which stance she took.
"[Seventy-two percent of those polled] are unaware that since being named the border czar, Harris has never visited a conflict zone on the border," Palmer noted. "That ought to tell you all you need to know about her saying now that she supports a wall. Only the dumbest people or the most in-the-tank people in the country are going to think that she's being truthful about the positions she's taken."
"And by the way, I don't know that she's actually come out and verbalized her understanding of any of these issues. She's reading a teleprompter, and this is what her staff is prepared for. This woman is a Marxist," he added. "And I tell people today that the definition of a modern Democrat moderate is socialist."
Palmer continued, "And one last thing on this, Dale, is she talked about promoting a fund to bail out violent protesters during the 2020 riots. Those riots were in Minnesota, where Tim Walz was the governor, and he didn't do anything to stop them."
