The Vestavia Hills Police Department announced three arrests in connection to a shooting at Shades Mountain Baptist Church on Sunday afternoon.

Timothy Earl Wynn III, 18, is charged with first-degree assault and two counts of first-degree robbery. Lameka Roshundra Cook, 49, and David Jarrell Coleman, 24, were both charged with second-degree assault and two counts of first-degree robbery.

"These individuals remain in custody at the Vestavia Hills city jail and will be transported to the Jefferson County Jail later this afternoon," the Vestavia Hills Police Department stated in a press release.

Police received a call around 3:09 p.m. Sunday about a person shot on an outdoor basketball court at the church at 2017 Columbiana Road. When they arrived, officers found one person injured. The victim was taken to UAB Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The church has not responded to media requests.

This is the second shooting at a church the Vestavia Hills Police Department has responded to this year. In June, Robert Findlay Smith was arrested in connection to a deadly shooting at St. Stephens Episcopal Church. Three people were killed in that shooting.
