Former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow will appear at Legacy Arena in Birmingham Saturday as a special guest of Winter Jam Birmingham.

Winter Jam is a Christian music festival open to all ages. The event will feature a number of Christian guests and artists and will be hosted by the band Newsong.

Pastor Shane Pruitt will be speaking. Other acts include Abby Robertson, Bayside Worship, Megan Duke, Kevin Quinn, Skillet, Tauren Wells, KB, I Am They and Colton Dixon.

Throughout his career, Tebow has been an outspoken advocate for Christianity. He has written and published multiple faith-based self-help books. He is also the founder of the Tim Tebow Foundation.

Tebow recently released a new book, “Mission Possible: Go Create a Life That Counts.” The book is about finding purpose and fulfillment through faith. He also released a Bible study and goals guide that can be purchased separately and is a companion to the main book.

Compassion International

Winter Jam has partnered with Compassion International, a Colorado-based Christian humanitarian aid organization that sponsors children living in poverty around the globe. They are organizing volunteers to distribute handouts and connect children with sponsors.

“Last year, when live events canceled, many Compassion children missed the opportunity to get sponsored,” a Facebook post from the company read. “We want to write a new story and see thousands of children’s lives changed!”

Student Leader Reception

All youth pastors and student leaders will be welcomed by Winter Jam approximately 30 minutes before the concert begins to a special backstage huddle for fellowship, prayer and encouragement from the Winter Jam artists.

Those who attend this reception will also receive information about youth ministry resources and opportunities. The first 200 to arrive will receive free gift bags. The location of this reception will be announced from the stage.
