The National Weather Service (NWS) in Birmingham confirmed an EF0 tornado caused damage in Trussville on Thursday.
The tornado began around Highway 11 and Mary Taylor Road and traveled southeast, ending along Queenstown Road. Trees were downed, and some structures were damaged. Construction and flatbed trailers were also flipped over.
The NWS also confirmed that straight-line winds of up to 75 mph caused damage in the Pinson area. They said the microburst downed trees and power lines.
