Troy head coach Jon Sumrall and his staff mostly stayed in the state of Alabama to close out the 2023 signing class. Five of the seven signees on Wednesday came from Alabama high schools.
The Trojans signed cornerback LJ Green of Montgomery Catholic High, safeties Jamarcus Hamilton of Montgomery Sidney Lanier High and Dorion Jackson of Wetumpka High, playmaking athlete Mykel Johnson of Enterprise High and wide receiver Jackson Thomas of Stanhope Elmore High.
Out-of-state players signing on Wednesday were offensive lineman Elijah Phillippe, a Pennsylvania native who played at Lackawanna College in New Jersey, and offensive lineman Elijah Prather of Lavergne High in Tennessee.
Overall, including the early signing period and midyear transfers, Troy added 38 players to its roster.
