The Baldwin County Republican Party is sponsoring a Trump boat parade along the Gulf Coast on October 19.

Timothy Lower is organizing the parade, which will begin at 11 a.m. near Sailboat Bay, where Mobile Bay meets the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW), and it will end at The Wharf.

Lower said the parade will travel at idle speed so onlookers can gather on the bank and cheer.

"We're looking to get some groups out on the canal to cheer us on as well as set up a place for people to buy Trump merchandise through the Republican Party," he said. "All the proceeds will go back to the local party and to our local candidates."

"This is to get out the awareness that we need more registered voters as well as registered Republicans in Baldwin County and we don't do enough events south of Robertsdale, so it's important we engage our coastal community," Lower added.

"We're fiscally conservative. We believe in the flag," he said. "We believe in our veterans, and I believe that those values translate over to what Donald Trump brings to America, and we'd like to see America take on those beliefs just as much as Baldwin County."

Organizers expect 300 to 500 boats.

"The weather is going to be perfect and it's going to be a great turnout, I believe, and a lot of excitement," he said.

An after-party with live music will follow at YoHo Rum & Tacos.

The October parade will be the second Trump boat parade this year off Baldwin County's coast.
