Enterprise Police arrested Pablo Mendoza, a 23-year-old illegal alien, for allegedly raping a female, 14, on Monday.
Mendoza, an Enterprise resident, is being held in the Coffee County Jail with no bond. An Aniah’s Law hearing on pretrial detention in the case will be held on April 4 at the Coffee County Courthouse.
According to a complaint filed in the case, Mendoza engaged in sexual intercourse around February 20 with a female unable to consent due to physical helplessness or mental incapacitation.
U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) said on X on Tuesday the incident was a result of President Joe Biden’s immigration policies.
