During a recent appearance on "Alabama Unfiltered Radio," U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) condemned President Joe Biden for his actions before and after the recent terrorist attack on Israel and blamed his weak leadership for the current escalation of global conflicts.

"When you don't have a strong administration where people respect them, I mean, we know when it all started with the Biden administration," Tuberville said. "They haven't made a decision that's good for the world, not just our country, but good for the world, since they've taken over. You can't lead from behind, and that's what's happened here."

Given the long-standing relationship between Hamas and Iran, Tuberville and several other lawmakers also criticized the Biden administration for possibly helping fund the attack through a deal made in August to unfreeze $6 billion in escrowed oil funds to Iran in exchange for releasing five detained American citizens.

The relevant portion begins around the 8:00 mark.

Tuberville predicted Israel would launch a full-scale invasion into Gaza if Hamas does not return its captured hostages, which new intelligence suggests could contain several Americans.

"Iran is behind this," Tuberville said. "They're the heartbeat of the Middle East regarding terrorism. They hate us, and they hate the world. And it's just unfortunate Israel is right in the middle of it. I'll tell you; all heck is getting ready to break loose. They've probably got a 24, 48-hour moratorium on the hostages. And once they figure out they're not going to send them back, they'll send in several hundred thousand troops. Then we'll have us a real war on our hands."

Biden also received criticism for hosting a White House Barbecue on Sunday shortly after the hostilities commenced. According to Tuberville, Biden remained in bed for hours after the assault, which claimed the lives of at least 11 American citizens.

"[H]e didn't wake up till 7:30," Tuberville said. "The attack started at 3:00. We just found that out this morning. He slept through it, then had a party last night, a barbecue at the White House. But they didn't even wake him up because there's nothing he can do. He doesn't make decisions anyway."

Tuberville said Biden should "immediately" close the Southern border, which he believes has left the U.S. susceptible to terrorist attacks due to the massive influx of illegal immigrants.

"The first thing he should have done when they woke him up out of his stupor was close the border. Now. Immediately. Close it. Send the military down there. Let's go in DEFCON 2. We're in as much trouble as anybody because [of] what we've done at the Southern Border," he said. "We now have probably 25 to 30 million illegal immigrants in this country, and we don't know who they are, where they are, why they're here. Some of them are here for a better life, but there's a lot of them here to take our country down. So, if we had a government that had any common sense, they would lock our borders down so tight. And then they would start going throughout the country and stop these protests that they're having and start sending people back to where they came from."
