During a Thursday appearance on Newsmax TV's "Newsline," U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) offered praise for his Democrat colleague U.S. Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) for at least being open to the possibility of parting ways with the Democrat caucus on certain issues.
In this particular case, Tuberville praised the Pennsylvania lawmaker for his willingness to vote for a continuing resolution to keep the government open.
"John Fetterman has come a long way," Tuberville declared. "He's had all kinds of health issues since he got here, but I'll tell you what, he is the only leader out there that's speaking common sense."

Tuberville, the intransigent Democrats on Fetterman's side of the aisle, had a "woke mind virus," demonstrated by their unwillingness to work with the Senate-majority GOP.
"I call it the woke mind virus, that's what the Democrats have," he added. "They don't want to work with anybody, they don't want to work to save this country. There's no way they're going to shut this government down, it would be political suicide. They'll come to an agreement tomorrow somehow, some way."
