Despite being delayed for over an hour, President Joe Biden made it through his “big boy” press conference Thursday evening. During the conference, he took questions directly from the media. The conference was touted as another cognitive test for Biden to see if his poor debate performance last month was a one-off or part of a pattern.

While he made plenty of blunders and occasionally mumbled his words at the presser, he performed better than many expected. However, it likely won’t move the needle either way for entrenched voters, regardless of Biden’s mental capacity.

“While President Biden’s press conference may not have answered all the questions about his capacity to continue his campaign for reelection, it should have convinced everyone that if he is reelected, the nation will continue to suffer high costs of living, open borders, high energy costs, and be forced to accept biological boys and men taking over women’s sports. After all, Biden plainly stated that he intends to finish what he started,” U. S. Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover) posted on X.

Palmer said that whether Biden stays in the race, steps down, or is replaced, the Democrat policies will be the same regardless of who is on the ticket.

“The name the Democrat elites put on the ballot in November may change, but the policies will not,” he said.

U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) highlighted a particularly glaring gaffe when Biden referred to his “Vice President Trump.”

In her reaction to the conference, Republican candidate for AL-2 Caroleene Dobson took a shot at Biden and her Democratic opponent, Shomari Figures.

“I think the ‘big boy’ press conference went pretty well, and I’m sure President Putin, Vice President Trump, and Biden’s commander in chief would agree,” Dobson said, referring to more Biden bloopers.

“It’s time for Shomari Figures to break his silence and admit the White House is quickly becoming ‘Weekend at Bernie’s,’” she added, referring to the 1989 film where the two insurance employees pretend their dead boss is still alive.
