In an interview on Outkick's "Don't @ Me," U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) floated the possibility that the Democratic Party would swap out President Joe Biden from the 2024 presidential election for a new nominee.
Speculation of an effort to replace Biden has been rising lately due to the president's age and mental capacity.
According to Tuberville, no matter who the Democrats roll out for the election, former President Donald Trump will retake the White House. He also emphasized the importance of Trump winning to fix the "mess" made by the Biden administration.

"I think Trump wins," Tuberville told host Dan Dakich. "I think you're probably going to see a change in the team for the Democrats. I just can't imagine after what we've seen of Joe Biden — again, I think it's too late for them to do it, but they might try it in some kind of a desperate pitch."
"They got what they wanted in the trial ... it was such a rigged, rigged deal, but they got convicted felony, and they want to be able to call him [a felon] for the next six months," he continued. "That being said, the American people have seen through that. He has got so much momentum behind him. I don't see how he can stop that momentum, or how anybody can."
As for the possible replacements, Tuberville suggested the Democrats would go with California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) or even Vice President Kamala Harris, who he blasted for not doing her job.
"They've got to get somebody with a name," he said. They can't spend a lot of money and time on a name, so Newsom is probably their most well-known person - or they might move up Kamala Harris, who knows? They've dug themselves a hole there."
Tuberville added, "That being said, I don't know what they'll do."
