FAIRHOPE — Turning Point USA at Coastal Alabama Community College (CACC) is hosting a worship event on Friday night.
The Night of Worship will be held at the Fairhope campus’s Halstead Amphitheater. The TPUSA chapter president, Kendle Fielder, told 1819 News everyone is invited.
“We just want to invite all the college students, local college students, our community to come out and just worship the one and only Jesus Christ, and so, I think that's the most important thing,” Fielder said. “That's why we do what we do every single day, because we want to bring Him back to our country.”
Fielder said the chapter is working overtime after recognizing a lack of faith nationwide.
“There's a lot of legwork,” she said. “We have to go out there, get our members involved, do volunteer work. It's crucial. Without our volunteer members, we wouldn't be able to do what we do.”
The chapter has 22 members, and Fielder said everyone comes together to meet goals. Although this is her last semester at CACC, she hopes the cause continues.
“I hope to see the membership not only grow larger, but I hope to see them succeed,” said Fielder.
The worship and sermon will be given by Hickory Hammock Baptist Church from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. The keynote speaker will be American Legacy Co.'s Nikki Rye, along with Kelly York and Pastor Carl Gallups. Ray Harper will lead worship.
