Turning Point USA announced on Monday that it will be continuing the “America Comeback Tour” following the assassination of its founder, Charlie Kirk.
Kirk was on the second stop of the tour at Utah Valley University when he was murdered. The tour will include a stop at Auburn University on November 5.
The website and flyer feature national figures, including Michael Knowles, Megyn Kelly, Vivek Ramaswamy and Glenn Beck, along with members of Congress and several governors headlining the events. Auburn’s guests have yet to be announced.
Turning Point Action COO Tyler Bowyer told the Deseret News that the organization will no longer hold public events outdoors.
Auburn was not on the original list of campuses but was added within the day.
In an interview with Eagle Eye Auburn last week, Jacob Roose, president of Turning Point USA at Auburn University, said, “We as a chapter have seen enormous growth over the past week or so. And it’s unfortunate that we are growing this much under these circumstances, but Charlie, we believe, would want us to use this opportunity to grow and be able to share the words and values that he founded Turning Point USA on.”
“We won the Turning Point USA college chapter of the year award two years ago, right before I took over at the time as VP, and then later became president. And we just want to get back to that status as being the best chapter in the country and be the name on everybody’s lips out at our national headquarters in Phoenix,” Roose told the outlet.
Auburn student and TPUSA member Brilyn Hollyhand has recently embarked on his own tour of college campuses with a visit to Florida this week. Hollyhand worked alongside U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) and Tom Fredricks to host a memorial in honor of Kirk that drew over 200 people.
More details on the event are expected to be announced later this week. Tickets are available on the Turning Point website.
