Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis picked up endorsements from two Alabama legislators on Thursday.

State Rep. David Faulkner (R-Hoover) and State Sen. Larry Stutts (R-Tuscumbia) both endorsed DeSantis the day after a GOP presidential debate was held in Tuscaloosa on Wednesday.

“Ron DeSantis is a proven conservative with a record of winning for Republicans at the ballot box. Alabamans care about protecting parents rights and our children and Ron DeSantis will be the President to get it done,” Stutts said in a statement.

The primary in Alabama is scheduled for March 5.
