The City of Montgomery is investigating two unrelated killings that occurred Wednesday afternoon and evening in the city.
According to the Montgomery Police Department (MPD), three individuals were struck by gunfire in the two shootings.
At about 4:32 p.m., MPD responded to a local hospital in reference to subjects suffering gunshot wounds. MPD made contact with two 16-year-old male juvenile victims, one of whom juvenile sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The other suffered a life-threatening wound and was later pronounced deceased.
At about 8:35 p.m., MPD and Fire Medics responded to the 200 block of Eastdale Road South on reports of a subject shot. Kinah Stokes, 28, of Montgomery, was found shot at the scene. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
