Just a few months ago, I sat across from Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas in the House Judiciary Committee and asked him if our border was secure. He said yes.
All America knows that was a lie.
After years of denial that our southern border is wide open, his boss, President Joe Biden, finally visited the border for a photo op last week. While he smiled for the camera, 617,607 non-detained illegal aliens with criminal convictions roam the streets of the United States. Those are just the ones we know about, and some of them are in your backyard.
In the last two weeks, a young jogger in Georgia with a bright future ahead of her was brutally murdered by an illegal alien. A man in south Louisiana was stabbed in the face by an illegal alien who had also raped a young girl. An illegal alien and MS-13 gang member was arrested for murdering a two-year-old in Washington, D.C. Across town, another illegal shot three law enforcement officers.
And right here at home in Alabama, two illegal aliens were arrested for participating in sex acts with children.
Biden can no longer deny that his policies endanger American families. How many Americans must die before Biden secures our border?
House Republicans did their job. We passed H.R.2, the strongest border security bill in history, a bill that would finish the wall, expand border security personnel, and restrict funding to process new aliens.
In February, my legislation deporting illegal immigrants who drive impaired passed the House of Representatives. I lost two young newlywed constituents to an illegal immigrant driving under the influence of alcohol. We must ensure tragedies like this can’t happen again.
I also co-sponsored the “Send Them Back Act,” which would remove all illegal aliens who have entered the United States since Biden took office. Thanks to Biden, that number is upwards of 10 million including known got-aways. That’s twice the population of Alabama invading our country and taking away jobs and resources while we are $34 trillion in debt. Next, Democrats will want to let them vote.
That means we need to make our voices heard at the ballot box. President Donald Trump put America first and protected our borders. He crafted the “Remain in Mexico” policy, and he was on a mission to finish the wall and support our brave Border Patrol Agents. Biden halted the wall, so 1,248 miles of our southern border remain open. And as Americans die, his best solution is a quick photo op at a part of the border where 17 illegals are crossing per day.
We must continue building the wall and reinstate Trump’s policies before it’s too late. It is my hope that Republicans will unite and make their voices heard in the fight to secure our border and end Biden’s radical policies.
