Saturday, U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) made an appearance on Newsmax TV's "Saturday Agenda" to respond to the Biden administration's inability to contain the flow of drugs across the U.S.-Mexico border.

According to the second-term congressman, much of the White House's inability had to do with its hiring practices.

"I think we have to start looking at the administration," he said. "And actually, we've found that pronouns don't solve problems. This administration needs to start hiring people that are qualified to do the job."Mayorkas is an example of that, where they're not necessarily enforcing laws that are already on the books. And this has created this crisis where the number one killer now between the ages of 18 and 45 in America is fentanyl poisoning."

"About one death every seven minutes, about 107,000 Americans we lost [in 2021 alone] because of our failure to secure the southern border and stop the drug trade," Moore added.
