During an appearance on Newsmax TV's coverage of Iran's attack on Israel on Saturday, U.S. Rep. Dale Strong (R-Monrovia) warned the United States could suffer from the same threats Israel is facing as it has weathered attacks from Gaza, Lebanon and Iran over the last six months.
The Madison County Republican urged the U.S. Senate to pass the U.S. House of Representatives aid package for Israel. He warned the United States was vulnerable at its southern border.
"Well, the biggest thing I see is he ought to be requesting that $14 billion that the United States House of Representatives approved that was sent to the Senate with no action," he said. "That's the first thing that ought to be approved — approve that $14 billion for Israel. But I'll tell you this right here: We saw so much in just a matter of days there and the attacks that they have seen."
"If we don't make some changes here in America, it's going to be the same thing. You look at what Secretary Mayorkas has done at the southern border. They talk about 8.7 million that have crossed the southern border. Let me tell you — it's somewhere around 10 million, I would guess. But that's the same thing that's cooking. We've got to take care of our southern border and stand just like Benjamin Netanyahu is, defending his people."
