Despite multiple House Democrats urging President Joe Biden to step down in recent days after an underwhelming first debate and multiple embarrassing public appearances, Alabama's lone Democrat in Congress says her support is still rock solid.
U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell (D-Birmingham) said on Monday on X, "I have seen it myself. Joe Biden tells the truth."
"He cares about us and our future as a nation. He has delivered real progress for the American people and he will fight to protect our democracy and our freedom to vote," Sewell said. "My support for the Biden-Harris ticket is rock solid."
The Democratic National Convention, where delegates will officially select their presidential and vice presidential nominees, is scheduled for August 19 to 22 in Chicago.
