New UFL co-owner Mike Repole announced on Friday that the Birmingham Stallions wouldn't be relocating to a new city for the 2026 season.

According to a recent report from Pro Football Newsroom, Birmingham was one of the four teams the UFL planned to relocate to different markets for the 2026 season, following a disappointing attendance turnout in 2025.

Repole said last week the UFL wouldn't relocate the Stallions to a different city if fans purchase 5,000 season tickets for next season.

Although Birmingham didn't meet that goal, Repole told WJOX FM's "McElroy & Cubelic" on Friday the Stallions were staying Birmingham.

"I needed to know if there was a pulse in this league anywhere," Repole said. "The one thing that when I turn on the games, for a fan who is watching in another city, when they turn the game on even though it's great, high quality football, when a stadium is empty you feel like this must be a terrible game or boring."

Repole continued, "The Birmingham Stallions will be playing there next March. I'm going to be at the home opener. I need 19,999 other people to show up with me. Let's just have some fun. Bring the kids, friends, family. Drink some beer. Have fun, watch a game."

"Listen, I'm glad that we're going to be a big thing in Birmingham. They're the Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Steelers of spring football. Birmingham Stallions, they're a dynasty. The fans should support them like that. I'm all for Birmingham. I want to have fun. I want to sell out that place. The Birmingham Stallions will definitely be playing next year in Birmingham," Repole said.
