The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) is hosting 1819 News founder and CEO Bryan Dawson and State Rep. Ernie Yarbrough (R-Trinity) this week as part of Dawson's ongoing "Pick up the Mic" tour.
On Wednesday, UAH and Turning Point USA (TPUSA) will host Dawson and Yarbrough for a "Prove Me Wrong Christ or Chaos" debate. The event will take place at UAH's Charger Union Theater Lawn at 11 a.m.
Dawson has hosted two other college events in partnership with TPUSA, a "Prove Me Wrong" at the University of Montevallo and a "Pick up the Mic" at the University of North Alabama. He also spoke at Covenant Christian School, a high school, in partnership with TPUSA's Club America.
"I'm thrilled to build on the momentum from our successful first 'Prove Me Wrong' event, held in partnership with Turning Point USA at the University of Montevallo," Dawson stated. "Joining me at the University of Alabama in Huntsville will be State Representative Ernie Yarbrough, a UAH Alum, whom I consider the most staunchly conservative voice in the Alabama House. He has a remarkable ability to articulate the intersection of faith and politics with clarity and conviction in a way few others can."
He added, I anticipate a lively, engaging session filled with spirited debate, thoughtful dialogue, and meaningful exchanges—all while glorifying God and advancing the truth."
