The Birmingham Police Department released a video asking for information in a 2018 cold case.
The murder of DeNorris Barnes happened on June 18, 2018, at the Gas Land service station on Bessemer Road. Detectives said several shots were fired, striking Barnes and he died at the scene.
“The preliminary investigation reveals that DeNorris Barnes, along with two other males, were at the location changing a tire on the white F-150 when shots rang out,” said Officer Truman Fitzgerald.
The shooter fled in a vehicle but it is unclear what type of vehicle. No arrests have been made in the case.
