Multiple law enforcement agencies escorted the body of Thomasville Police officer Dallas Hinton from Mobile to Thomasville on Thursday.
Hinton, 25, was killed in an accident while on duty early Wednesday.
Members of the public and first responders lined Highway 43 through various towns as the procession drove by.
Hinton, who was with the Thomasville Police Department for approximately two years, was a United States Marine. He was recently engaged and left behind his fiancée, two sisters and his father.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the crash.
