Alabama State and Jackson State fought hard on the gridiron on Saturday, with the JSU Tigers coming out on top 16-10 over the Hornets to secure the SWAC East Championship.
The two teams also fought after the game in a wild on-field scene.
Shortly after the game, players can be seen jawing at each other as coaches try to separate them. Tensions eventually boiled over, and players began swinging at each other and shoving each other, some to the ground.

After finally separating, JSU players could be seen taunting the home ASU crowd.
JSU has not released a statement regarding the post-game altercation, but ASU president Quinton Ross said in a statement that the university was "disappointed" that some ASU players were involved in the altercation.
"This behavior does not reflect the values, standards, or rich legacy of our esteemed institution," Ross added. "The University is currently conducting a thorough review of the incident and will take appropriate disciplinary action in accordance with our policies. We thank our supporters, alumni, and stakeholders for their understanding as we address this matter. Together, we will continue to uphold the proud tradition of Alabama State University."
