SWAC suspends 16 players, fines Alabama State and Jackson State each $25,000 after on-field brawl

On Monday, the Southwestern Athletic Conference announced 16 total suspensions in addition to fines for Alabama State and Jackson State after the teams came to blows over the weekend.

Alabama State and Jackson State fought hard on the gridiron on Saturday, with the JSU Tigers coming out on top 16-10 over the Hornets. The two teams also fought after the game in a wild on-field scene.
