Recently released footage by the online group Predator Poachers shows a meetup between an alleged predator and anti-pedophile activist Alex Rosen in Huntsville, where a dramatic scene unfolds after police show up.

The video is brief and offers little background. Rosen stated he would release full details of the investigation to his subscribers later. Rosen claims the arrest happened in Huntsville, and landmarks and business names in the video confirm that. The Madison County Detention Center has a record of a man named James Eddings Hall, who was arrested on Friday for obstructing governmental operations. Rosen also confirmed James Eddings Hall as the man in the video.

Rosen reportedly shared chat logs between Hall and himself with James Randy Hall. In unrelated court documents, James Eddings Hall is referenced as James “Randy” Eddings Hall, matching the same birth date as the James Eddings Hall in the Madison County Detention Center.

1819 News located social media accounts with the same picture allegedly used by Hall in Rosen’s shared messages. The Instagram account bears the name “pervertdaddy024.” The Facebook account, bearing the same image, almost exclusively follows young, provocatively dressed women. Some profiles use female children as their profile pictures.

According to court records, James Eddings Hall was arrested and charged in February with possession of child pornography.

The video begins with Rosen conversing with Hall before noticing a police officer approaching the pair. Rosen appeared to be talking with Hall as a kindred spirit.

“Officer, he was just telling me there’s like all these child porn groups in Huntsville, right, that you know about,” Rosen said.

The officer pats down Hall and informs him that he’s being detained. After Rosen asks the officer to retrieve printed chat logs from Hall, he briefly flees from the officer before being tackled to the ground.

The proceeding colorful commentary from the cameraman can be heard in the background while the suspect struggles with the officer, claiming, “I can’t breathe” and “You’re breaking my arm.”

While the officer was detaining Hall, Rosen offered commentary on the leadup to the confrontation.

“He just admitted to me that he’s been in groups with pornography as young as infants and toddlers, and he was messaging tons of minors online, including our 11-year-old decoy,” Rosen said. “So, he gets what he deserves. He said he’s been in thousands of child porn groups, probably the most we’ve ever had anybody admit to.”

Rosen later stated that he anticipates additional charges against Hall related to child pornography.
