U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) joined "Loomer Unleashed" with host Laura Loomer on Tuesday evening for a discussion on the growing threat presented by radical Islam and its doctrine of Sharia law.
Loomer asked Tuberville if he would be in favor of banning the transnational Sunni Islamist organization, the Muslim Brotherhood, from operating in the United States.
"Definitely," Tuberville responded. "The Muslim Brotherhood is a cult, and they're very dangerous. The thing that gets me is you see a lot of these terrorist groups that kind of hide, and they do things behind the scenes. Well, this group is becoming very, very vocal. They're becoming very active. I'm not talking about in other countries. I'm talking about in the United States."
Tuberville told Loomer that while he understands there are non-radicalized Muslims in the world, those involved with the Islamic organization are not part of that demographic.
"I'm sure that there are some peaceful Muslims out there. But when it comes to the Muslim Brotherhood, they're not," he argued. "We've got lots of people who peacefully practice their religion, Christians, Jews, Mormons, Hindus and Buddhists-they all have freedom of religion in this country, but Sharia law is not a religion."
The senator mentioned meeting a group of Israeli veterans who told him of the violently anti-American upbringing many young Muslims in Gaza and across much of the world have had.
"I talked to some IDF fighters from Israel right after the war started," Tuberville noted. "They came into my office. We're talking about the things that they saw when they first went into Gaza. And every school, no matter where it was at, it was kill Americans, kill the Jews. That's what they're being taught. So it's going to be a very, very tough situation to bring people here that aren't going to assimilate, because they have learned a different culture for years and years."
Tuberville offered his assurances that the executive branch also fully comprehends the urgent need to confront radical Islam and the practice of Sharia law within the United States.
"President Trump understands. He knows it. Back in 2019, he banned citizens from Muslim countries from entering the U.S. I think it's only a matter of time if we continue down this path. We see the nonsense all over the country, especially in places like Dearborn, and in New York with this communist Mayoral candidate that's probably getting ready to be elected."
"I think you're going to see President Trump step in here big time," Tuberville concluded.
Recently, Tuberville introduced legislation aimed at combating the practice of Sharia law in the United States.
The first bill, dubbed the No Sharia Act, would prohibit the application of Sharia law in the United States, where it would violate constitutional rights. The second piece of legislation is the Preserving a Sharia-Free America Act, which would prevent all foreign nationals supporting Sharia law from entering the United States.
