At a recent special meeting of the Republican National Convention, Alabama GOP chairman John Wahl voted to file an amicus brief in support of former President Donald Trump in legal battles attempting to disqualify him in his presidential run.
Proposed Alabama Republican Party resolution states that, "The Alabama Republican Party believes that substantial election fraud was committed by local election officials in key metropolitan areas too numerous to list that significantly affected the results in five key states in favor of Joseph R. Biden, Jr.,"
"Last night’s testimony revealed that even President Trump’s closest advisors knew that the 2020 presidential election was not stolen.” Congresswoman Terri Sewell said following the televised public hearing of the Jan. 6 committee. Congressman Mo Brooks called the committee investigation a "witch hunt."
“When I hear these talking heads on TV or in the media just out of hand reject the idea that there was signification voter fraud or election theft activity in 2020 without any evidence to support what they say, I know it is wrong,” Brooks told Dinesh D'Souza.
