The dust has settled and Auburn has found its next head coach. The Tigers have named Hugh Freeze the 31st head football coach in program history, Athletics Director John Cohen announced on Monday. Initial reports indicate that Freeze will be signing a 6-year, $6.5 million contract to be on the Plains.
After a whirlwind of rumors over the weekend, reports are indicating that Auburn is hiring Liberty head coach Hugh Freeze to be the program’s 28th head coach. As reported by Ross Dellinger of SINow and Justin Hokanson of ON3 Sports, the university and Freeze are finalizing a deal today, with an announcement expected to come later today.s
AUBURN — This story may sound familiar to Auburn basketball fans. The 13th-ranked Tigers (7-0) followed a solid first-half performance by going cold on the offensive end as St. Louis (5-2) mounted a comeback with its own struggling offense.
