After giving up four runs in the first three frames, No. 4 Auburn baseball settled in and rode the strong pitching of reliever Carson Myers en route to a 9-5 win over Central Connecticut State in the first round of the Auburn Regional at Plainsman Park.

No. 11 Auburn won its fourth conference series of the year as it swept No. 3 LSU LSU at Plainsman Park over the weekend. It was the first series sweep against LSU since 1988. 

For the first time – maybe ever – Auburn’s wide receiver room could be the most talented group on the offensive side of the ball, and Tigers head coach Hugh Freeze is relying on his receivers to be the catalyst for an offense seeking improvements in his third year at the helm.

Trailing 7-6 in at the start of the eighth inning after the Yellow Jackets put up a five-spot in the sixth inning to take control, No. 11 Auburn struck for three runs to regain its early lead and take down No. 18 Georgia Tech 9-8 on Tuesday night at Russ Chandler Stadium. 

No. 11 Auburn baseball picked up a 2-1 series win over archrival, and eighth-ranked, Alabama over the weekend at Plainsman Park.

The basketball game wasn’t the only battle between the Auburn Tigers and Florida Gators on Saturday.
