The former director of the Baldwin County Library Cooperative is denying she ever requested the board fire all employees, as was reported to the Baldwin County Commission by board members.

The Baldwin County Commission voted Tuesday during its regular meeting to dissolve the Baldwin County Library Cooperative.

The move comes after the library cooperative board fired all employees in May.

The Baldwin County Commission is investigating the firing of the entire Baldwin County Library Cooperative (BCLC) staff.

The Baldwin County Republican Party unanimously passed a resolution over the weekend in reaction to inappropriate books that have been offered in the children and teens sections at libraries throughout the county.
