An eighth person is charged in the horrific Bibb County child sex trafficking case.

Bibb Countians are coming together following a gruesome case involving a child sex operation out of an underground bunker in Brent.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division announced on Sunday that it had arrested three men who now face nearly 50 total charges related to allegedly kidnapping, trafficking and sexually abusing children ranging from three to 16 in an underground bunker in Bibb County.

The trial has been set for a man charged in the death of a Bibb County deputy in June 2022.

Members of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office were on hand Thursday at the State House to speak in favor of legislation that would change how state inmates’ “good-time” credits are accrued.

Funeral arrangements have been decided for Bibb County K9 deputy Brad Johnson, who passed away at UAB Hospital on June 30 after he was critically wounded during a shootout.

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall announced Thursday morning that the man wanted in connection to the shooting of two Bibb County Deputies has been captured.
