An eighth person is charged in the horrific Bibb County child sex trafficking case.

Olivia Shailee Elam, 26, of Brent, is charged with five counts of first-degree rape, nine counts of first-degree sodomy, nine counts of first-degree human trafficking, eight counts of first-degree kidnapping, aggravated child abuse and sexual torture/abuse.

Elam was indicted on all of the charges on Tuesday. The indictment accused her of having sex with minors under the age of 12, and in at least one case, penetrating a child with an inanimate object. She is also accused of obtaining, recruiting, soliciting, threatening, harboring, restraining, transporting or maintaining minors for sexual servitude. She is also accused of severely beating the children.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s office discovered multiple children were being abused in an underground bunker after an investigation that began in February.

1819 News broke the story in May when Andres Trejo-Velazquez, 29, of Brent, was indicted on six counts of first-degree human trafficking. He was the first of eight people who have now been arrested.

Sheriff Jody Wade said more arrests are possible. He said there are possible ties to the Sureños Mexican-American gang.

Timothy St. John, Jr., 23, is charged with two counts of first-degree rape, four counts of first-degree sodomy, four counts of human trafficking, three counts of first-degree kidnapping, bestiality, and aggravated cruelty to animals.

Rebecca Brewer is charged with eight counts of human trafficking, eight counts of first-degree kidnapping and three counts of sexual torture.

Rickey Terrell is charged with first-degree rape.

According to court documents, the ages of the children at the time they were victimized range from two to 10.

The children have been removed and are in the custody of the Department of Human Resources, although Wade said he believes there are more victims who have not been discovered.
