Birmingham’s mayor, Randall Woodfin, is going all in with his support of the legalization of marijuana, earning him the endorsement of the Alabama Cannabis Coalition. According to Woodfin, “Alabama needs to legalize cannabis, not just because it’s something that sounds nice, but because it advances justice and is good for our economy.”

Jefferson County Commissioner Lashundra Scales announced on Tuesday that she’s running for Mayor of Birmingham.

Just weeks into the new year, Birmingham’s Randall Woodfin is demonstrating that he has no room for questions, comments, or dissenting opinions.

Woodfin’s legacy will not be determined by the pages of his book but by his ability to deliver meaningful change for his city.
