Alabama Senate Majority Leader Clay Scofield and other state lawmakers are lending their support for locating U.S. Space Command’s permanent headquarters in Huntsville.
Despite a setback last week, there’s still time to pass major school choice legislation in the current legislative session, according to State Sen. Larry Stutts (R-Tuscumbia).
Scofield suggested placing the money into a trust fund, which would accrue a “considerable amount” of interest. He said Alabama is already “one of the lowest taxed states in the country.”
