Another Mardi Gras is on the verge of wrapping up, and as per tradition, the Comic Cowboys take the stage in downtown Mobile on Fat Tuesday, the last day of the Carnival season.

Even though it's not an election year, the waters of the national, state and local current affairs are still choppy, and Mobile's Comic Cowboys did not pull any punches with their biting commentary on this Fat Tuesday.
For the second week in a row, Mobile citizens addressed the city council concerning signs displayed during Mardi Gras by a group called “Comic Cowboys.”
This year's Mardi Gras festivities marked the 140th anniversary for the Comic Cowboys, the mystic society operating under the slogan "without malice."

Even though their existence was threatened by some busybody-concerned citizens inspired by a progressive woke culture, the Comic Cowboys have been a fixture in Mobile's Mardi Gras celebration since the late 1800s.
