
The Gulf Shores and Orange Beach school systems are joining together to call for their fair share of the 40% once-cent sales tax collected countywide.

Baldwin County parents addressed the school board Thursday, saying there is a violent situation unfolding in an elementary classroom. The parents say they do not feel heard and their children do not feel safe.

The Baldwin County Public School system receives 100% of the education portion of a one-cent sales tax that the state legislature levied in 2017.
