The U.S. House of Representatives approved the Foreign Intelligence Accountability Act (FIAA), which is designed to extend and reform aspects of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), one day before Congress voted to extend the FISA program for another 45 days.

U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) met face-to-face with President Donald Trump this week to discuss federal surveillance that Moore says could directly impact Americans’ civil liberties.

By a 273-147 vote, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the renewal of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), with six of Alabama's seven members voting for the measure.
