Hoover celebrates Independence Day, setting a Guinness World Record before crowning Councilwoman Lovell a hot dog contest winner

The City of Hoover threw its annual “4th on the 1st” Independence Day event at the Hoover Met. Nearly 7,000 residents and visitors from across central Alabama gathered to watch the FIFA World Cup, participate in a record-breaking event and watch a spectacular fireworks finale.
