
Huntsville Utilities is once again issuing late-fee assessments and conducting service disconnections following a six-month "grace period."

As significant rate hikes at Huntsville Utilities go into effect, many customers receiving payment assistance were also hit with a $100 surcharge.

Since 1953, the Huntsville City Council has been asked eight times to increase water rates, according to Huntsville Utilities president and CEO Wes Kelley. Now, it’s being asked to raise the rates again to meet the city's growing demand.
