Sebastian Alexander Carrillo, 54, of Fairfield, a current Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) employee, is under indictment this year by the attorney general's office for first-degree theft by deception and is scheduled to appear before a judge for a pre-trial hearing next month.

Sebastian Carrillo, the currently indicted Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) employee who funneled money into Sheriff Mark Pettway’s political campaign through a company receiving state and federal money, appears to have lied in his state ethics filings regarding the business he used to make the donations.

Attorney General Steve Marshall announced Sebastian Carrillo, 54, and his son, Sebastian Gideon, 27, are both facing charges in connection to alleged Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan fraud and tax evasion.
