No. 4 seed Alabama’s tournament run finally came to an end in the Sweet 16, losing to No. 1 seed Michigan 90-77 on Friday.

After an abysmal first half that saw the Tigers commit 10 turnovers, No. 1 seed Auburn caught fire midway through the second half to take down No. 5 seed Michigan 78-65 in front of a sea of orange and blue at State Farm Arena, punching its ticket to the Elite Eight. 

No. 2 Alabama advances to the Elite Eight for the second straight season with a 113-88 win over No. 6 seed BYU in record-setting fashion.

A suspect in the April 15 Dadeville shooting that claimed the lives of four people and injured 25 others pleaded not guilty and waived his right to an arraignment.

Five of the six suspects in a deadly shooting at a Sweet 16 party are now facing additional charges.
