The Alabama House of Representatives passed a bill package on Wednesday that aims to bolster the state’s workforce development and increase workforce opportunities for more Alabamians.
Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth and legislators unveiled a new legislative package in an attempt to improve the state’s workforce on Tuesday.
The Lieutenant Governor’s Commission on 21st Century Workforce met Wednesday in Birmingham to prepare recommendations to transform Alabama’s current workforce development initiatives.
When it comes to economic growth and attracting more business to Alabama, Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth said government incentives do help, but increasing the labor force should be the primary focus.
“I am proud of our progress and predict we are well on our way to surpassing the goal of adding 500,000 additional credentialed individuals to our workforce by 2025,” said Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey,
