It’s the same two brothers from Shelby County that co-produced Christian movies "Woodlawn," "October Baby" and "I Can Only Imagine."

Now, they have a new Christian film slated for release on April 26.

"Unsung Hero" is a Christian drama that tells the story of the Smallbone family. In real life, Rebecca, Joel and Luke Smallbone of For King & Country went from newcomers from Australia to Christian recording artists in the United States.

What a life journey.

The film’s official website can be found here.

The Erwin Brothers, Andrew and Jon, are sons of Alabama’s former State Sen. Hank Erwin, now living in Nashville, having followed his boys and their movie career. Hank was the character that the movie "Woodlawn" was based on. It depicted a spiritual revival on the Woodlawn High School (east Birmingham) football team which spread to the student body and to other Alabama high schools.

The father, Hank Erwin, was a broadcast personality on a Birmingham Christian radio station at the time the real-life events portrayed in "Woodlawn" took place.

Senator Hank was also a Republican candidate for lieutenant governor of Alabama in 2010. He lost the primary to then-State Treasurer Kay Ivey, who went on to become Governor of Alabama after the conviction and resignation of Gov. Robert Bentley.

The movie parents, Hank and wife Sheila Erwin, are hosting a "Family & Friends Red Carpet" on April 25, the evening before the Nashville premiere in nearby Franklin, Tenn.

Speaking of an unsung hero, the Erwin brothers are grandsons of Red Erwin, a World War II veteran and recipient of the Medal of Honor. That could be another movie plot.

The real-life Smallbone family moved in 1991 from Australia to Nashville, making a huge difference in 32 years.

"Our focus is still firmly rooted within the church, but it's focused out[.] ... And so our goal is to reach out beyond the church walls to engage a generation that's walking away from the church – as an introduction to Christianity." — Andrew Erwin said in an interview with Christian Headlines.
