The Alabama GOP chairman said an event featuring Donald Trump in Montgomery had gotten a positive response based on ticket sales.
Trump will be in Montgomery for the ALGOP dinner on August 4. Republican Party chairman John Wahl said tickets are nearly sold out.
"The response we've received since we announced President Trump as our keynote speaker has been overwhelming," said Wahl. "We expect individual tickets to be sold out imminently, and sales for table sponsors will shut down on Friday, if not sooner."
Tickets are $250 for one general admission or $400 for two general entries.
Wahl said the ALGOP is pleased to bring another high-profile figure to the state.
"We are excited at this opportunity to raise the profile of our state by hosting the GOP frontrunner for president, and giving Alabamians the chance to interact with him. Alabama is a Super Tuesday state, and will play an important role in selecting our Party's nominee," said Wahl.
The event will be at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel, starting at 6 p.m. Trump will be the keynote speaker.
