Alabama Republican Party (ALGOP) chairman John Wahl has been re-elected to serve as vice chairman of the Republican National Committee for the Southern Region.
Wahl won his reelection during the RNC’s Winter meeting in Washington, D.C. He first won the seat in January 2023.
"I'm deeply honored to have the trust and confidence of my colleagues to continue serving as Vice Chairman for the Southern Region," Wahl said. "The Southern Region has long been the backbone of conservative values in America, and I am committed to building on our region's successes to ensure a strong future for our party and our nation. Together, we will focus on uniting and energizing our grassroots supporters as we prepare for the upcoming election cycle."
"The November 5th election sent a clear message. The people of America want fundamental change, they want fiscal responsibility, secure borders, education without indoctrination, and a limited government that defends the constitutional rights and freedoms of every individual. I am committed to be a voice that fights for those values and works tirelessly to make America great again," he added.
As the vice chairman, Wahl is responsible for representing the 14 states comprising the Southern Region, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.
