Moms for Liberty is hosting two town halls in Baldwin County to discuss immigration and Title IX.

Rebecca Watson, who started the Baldwin County Moms for Liberty chapter, hopes residents will come to get updates on important issues.

"This event is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together, share ideas, and discuss important issues that affect us all," Watson said.

The town halls will be back-to-back on October 21 at First Fairhope Baptist Church.

A meet and greet with U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise), State Rep. Susan DuBose (R-Hoover) and Attorney General Steve Marshall will begin at 5:30 p.m. The Title IX town hall will start at 6 p.m.

Marshall and DuBose previously participated in a similar town hall in North Alabama. The State of Alabama filed a lawsuit challenging the Biden administration's rule on Title IX that expands the meaning of "sex" to include sexual orientation and gender identity. Marshall said the issue is one of the most important issues he has dealt with since becoming attorney general.

DuBose will introduce "critical women's privacy legislation," Watson told 1819 News.

The Alliance Defending Freedom and the Common Sense Campaign are co-sponsors of the Title IX town hall. Food and drinks will be provided. Local lawmakers will also be in attendance.

The town hall on undocumented immigrants will begin at 7 p.m.

Check in for both town halls will be before 6 p.m.
