U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) and 21 other members of Congress introduced the Dismantle DEI Act recently to eliminate all federal Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs and funding for federal agencies, contractors, organizations receiving federal grants and educational accreditation agencies.

In recent years, the federal government has increasingly adopted DEI practices, which explicitly makes employment or funding decisions on elements like race instead of qualifications.

According to Moore, the White House's "focus" on pronouns and skin color over merit not only violates the Constitution but also "further divides our country."

“The Biden Administration’s focus on pronouns over performance and skin color over merit is a violation of the Constitution that only further divides our country,” Moore, a co-sponsor of the bill, told 1819 News. “This legislation keeps American taxpayers from being forced to fund these damaging policies that only breed hatred.”
