U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) is calling out the Biden administration for tacitly endorsing U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer's (D-N.Y.) call to replace Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

President Joe Biden praised a speech Schumer gave last Thursday when he blamed Netanyahu for being a hindrance to peace in the ongoing war with the terrorist group Hamas. Biden has since tried to persuade Netanyahu against moving ground forces into Rafah despite Israel's claims of its strategic importance in defeating Hamas.

During "The Mark Levin Show" Wednesday, Britt slammed Biden and Schumer for trying to undermine Israel's efforts.

"When you see the leader of the United States Senate go to the floor and demand a regime change in the shining democracy that we have in the Middle East and one of our greatest allies, it is absolutely unacceptable, and it's despicable," she said. "The only regime change that we should be demanding as a nation is for Hamas to be permanently removed from Gaza."

Britt called the Biden administration's attempts to dictate terms to Isreal a "strategic blunder" and said the president and Senate leader should instead be demanding Hamas return the 130 hostages — five of whom are American — taken during the violent attack last October 7.

"Do you think that every time they get out there and they undermine Israel that that puts them in a stronger position to negotiate with Hamas? Absolutely not. We need to say thank you for eliminating this threat. Please, continue to finish your work."

While she agreed that Israel should be careful to spare "every innocent life" it can, she said Hamas had to be "eliminated."

"There is no way that we can win peace if we don't win the war, and I think it's totally unacceptable for America to turn its back on its ally. And I am here to tell you that we, that I and others in the United States Senate, stand firmly shoulder to shoulder with Israel."

Britt said she recently had a video conference with Netanyahu where they discussed Israeli forces pursuing Hamas into Rafah and how to deal with the threat of Iran.

Britt also contrasted former President Donald Trump's success at keeping Iran at bay while the adversary has the potential to finally acquire nuclear weapons on Biden's watch.

Unless and until Trump is reelected in November, Britt said the best way to handle Iran is to "stand with our strongest ally" Israel.

"Israel's victory is our victory," she said.
