Amid the ongoing clash between Israel and Hezbollah, Auburn head basketball coach Bruce Pearl called for the removal of Hezbollah's stockpiled missiles on Monday.
In reaction to a Hezbollah drone strike wounding six Israeli soldiers, Pearl, a Jewish American who has been outspoken in his support of Israel, said the 120,000 missiles being aimed at Israel from southern Lebanon should be removed "by choice or by force."
"President Kennedy was willing to risk WWIII and forced the Russians to remove missiles from Cuba," Pearl tweeted. "Hezbollah has 120k missiles in Southern Lebanon aimed at Israel awaiting Irans orders. Its time to have them removed, by choice or by force."
The head coach has also been vocal in his pushback against the rise of antisemitism on college campuses, recently criticizing some university presidents for not condemning blanket calls of genocide against Jews.
